Before and After Thailand

Before our Asian Adventure- we went to Busch Gardens with G and G Carrell

 Kailey and Jake enjoy coffins...

 Shelby needed a caramel apple!

While we were away...

Claire and Shelby had their first gymnastics competition and did GREAT!

After I got back...

Madi got to see firemen and a fire truck at her school!

I had a birthday! (Danny was still in Singapore)

and was spoiled by my kids

Madi wrapped up A starburst and gave it to me.  (Then a few minutes later she said, "Mommy- can I eat your starburst?"  Of course I said yes.)

Emery made me 3 cards plus gave me treats and that beautiful big ring!

Claire is super crafty and made me that cute little dog- plus an amazing elephant card! (Notice the #1 MOM medal here?)

AND- we got spooked!

Don't be frightened!

Fall and early Winter 2011

We have great neighbors and the kids all have friends who live on our street.  (Lacie and Cassie with Shelby and Stella)

More friend time... this time at the mall

Kailey turned 15

We went to the State Fair (Face Painting)

Shelby took two friends to the Taylor Swift concert - (I got to go too- it was so fun!) The birthday gift that came LONG after her birthday!

Jake turned 13!

Danny and I even dressed up for our neighbor's 80's themed birthday party... (Making my hair really poofy seemed so easy as a teenager.)

We got to deliver a bunch of stuff at the Chapel Hill Ronald McDonald House.

Isn't Madi's Santa Claus headband great?

The kids with Ronald.

I love being able to help out Santa Claus.  These are the things I hope my children remember...

Thanksgiving in Tennessee!

For Thanksgiving, we went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It was great!

Our cabin

Some of us went on a scenic stroll in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

 Went mini golfing...

We went indoor skydiving.  (It was so so so fun)

Went to Wonderworks

Lived through a simulated earthquake

And enjoyed time together as a family.  We are thankful...

Family Pictures 2011

We have a neighbor who is an amazing photographer.  Here are some of my favs.

Who has hops?  That is correct- me.

Singapore and Thailand

Danny and I spent a great 10 days in Singapore and Thailand in October 2011.

We rented Segways on Sentosa.

Danny FLEW at iFly Singapore

We ate Chili Crab with IBM friends (and it was SO yummy!)

We walked around Singapore- SO beautiful at night.

THEN we flew to THAILAND for a few days!

(and I finally managed to get one picture where I don't look horrid.)

We went to a great dinner show and they had 15 elephants on the stage at one point!

Stayed at a beautiful hotel, ate yummy food, went to the spa... so nice!

We rode on an elephant through a rubber tree plantation.

Rode on ATVs through a bunch of mud!

Danny even let these little guys nibble on his feet and legs (a thai fish spa.) Ick.

Back in Singapore we met up with Paul and Belle and saw were my parents lived as missionaries in 1992.

We visited the Tiger Balm Gardens (Haw Par Villa) and saw some great statues and the VERY memorable ten courts of Hell.

With Paul and Belle- EXCELLENT tour guides!

They introduced us to this DIVINE shaved ice.  Soooo delicious!

It was a wonderful vacation.  I would highly recommend it.
